Attaching Referenced Models
This procedure
details how to attach referenced models when working locally and not within a
ProjectWise environment.
When modeling in a
OpenPlant Support Engineering
drawing file, the support components are positioned using
referenced models which include the piping, structural and equipment type
components. These drawings are referenced in as i-Models. i-Models are created
from 3D models and include essential project information such as business
properties, 3D geometry, 2D graphics, references and links to other
models/project information etc.

To attach referenced files, select
from the menu.
The References dialog opens.

To add new i-model(s), click the Attach Reference
icon.
The Attach Reference dialog opens.
- In the Attach Reference dialog, select the i-model(s) to reference and click Open to add the i-model(s) to the list of referenced files.

To control the display of the referenced file(s), select the file
from the list and toggle the Display
icon.
